This communities in this area are in the southern section of zip code 85266, keeping the fabulous mountain and desert views but closer to freeways and all that the Valley has to offer. The area runs from Lone Mountain south to Jomax and Cave Creek Road east to Pima.

Bellasera

Bellasera is a North Scottsdale 24 hour guard-gated community with 360 home sites, developed on 290 acres by Del Webb in the late 1990s. Every homeowner is a member of the Bellasera Community Association with access to the 5000 square feet clubhouse, health and fitness center, exercise classes, beach entry pool with lap lanes, three lighted tennis courts and jogging/walking trails. It is a very active community with planned hikes, luncheons and potlucks.

Real estate in Bellasera varies from small, lock and leave homes at 1394 square feet to over 4000 square feet. All homes are single level. Homes are currently selling from the mid $300k to $900k.

Carriage Trails

Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Sonoran Desert, Carriage Trails is located at the intersection of Scottsdale &Dixileta Roads. Developed in the early 1990s by UDC Homes, the 130 home community features floor plans from 2100 to over 3500 square feet. A majority of the homes have a private pool. Prices are now from the mid $400k to over $800k.

Scottsdale Highlands

The Spanish style townhome community of Scottsdale Highlands has mountain views and natural desert landscaping. The 2 level townhomes were built in the mid 80s by Tucker Homes. Square footage ranges from 1264 to 1488 and sell from high $100k to $300k. Perfect location for a vacation or primary residence.

Scottsdale Vista Estates

Scottsdale Vista Estates was developed in the late 1990s by Capital Pacific Homes. Homes are on large lots with square footage ranging from 2700 to over 3600 square feet. The small community affords residents a lot of privacy and a prime location at Scottsdale Road and Dynamite. Homes are currently selling from the high $400k to mid $700k.

Lone Mountain Vista

This beautiful community is a gated subdivision of custom homes located between Scottsdale Road on the west and at the base of Lone Mountain on the east. The lush Sonoran desert environment is preserved with large lots, many with boulder outcroppings and excellent views of the mountains and city lights. Homes are priced between $600k and $900k.

The Preserve

The Preserve is a gated community with 143 homes located on 120 acres in north western Scottsdale. The land was developed to maintain the look and feel of the desert by Monterey Homes in the late 90s. Homes range in size from 2766 to 4964 square feet and all sit on at least a ¾ acre lot, the majority with private pools. Homes are priced between the high $500k and $900k.

Saguaro Highlands

Saguaro Highlands is a luxury semi-custom Toll Brothers Community in North Scottsdale; located on the southwest corner of Scottsdale Road and Dynamite Blvd. Developed in early 2000, Saguaro Highlands features 132 residences in a private gated community. The single level homes range in size from 3066 to 5298 square feet with lot size averaging just under 1 acre. Homes for sale in Saguaro Highlands range in price from the high $700′s to over $1.3 million dollars.

Saguaro Estates

This serene desert gated community developed by Toll Brothers offers 1 acre home sites with excellent schools and lovely mountain views. Open floor plans are featured with Contemporary, Spanish Colonial or Tuscan style architectural designs. Seven distinct floor plans range from approximately 3900 to 6400 square feet. Highlights include 3-4 bedrooms, 3.5 – 4.5 baths, 3-4 car garage, media rooms, serving centers, casitas and outdoor living options. Homes are priced from $800k to over $2 million.

Sincuidados

Early in 1985, 560 acres of land was determined to be an ideal spot to develop an upscale, serene, non-golf community of custom homes on 1 plus acrelots so development began on the exclusive community of Sincuidados. Development of the area has continued throughout the years with vacant land home sites still available today.This community of custom southwest homes features quiet, private streets and cul-de-sacs with over 70 % of the area dedicated to “Natural Area Open Space”. Community amenities include a clubhouse with kitchen and meeting rooms and lighted tennis courts. Prices range from the high $700k to over $2 million

Village at Iron Mountain

The small, private community of Village at Iron Mountain was built by Del Mar Homes between 2003– 2005. The gated area off of Scottsdale Road and Dixileta offers its residents spectacular mountain and desert views. Square footage ranges from 2800 to over 3500 square feet. Homes are currently priced from the high $500k to over $800k.

Monterra

Privacy abounds in this tranquil neighborhood of Monterra. This gated community was originally developed by Maracay Homes in the late 1990s. Square footage of the homes on ½ acre or larger lots range from 2300 to over 4300 square feet. Homes are priced between $600k - $900k.

Ironwood Preserve

The gated community of Ironwood Preserve was built by TriMark and Kirkwood Homes in the early 2000s. The intimate community has only 20 homes with an average lot size of over 1 acre. Homes range in size from 3600 to 4900 square feet and are priced from high $800k to over $1 million.

Lomas Verdes

Lomas Verdes is a small community of custom homes built in the early 2000s. Located off of Scottsdale and Jomax Roads, you have the North Scottsdale views but close distance to 101, shopping and dining.

All homes are on lots that average just under an acre and over 3600 square feet. Homes are priced over $1 million.

Trovia

Trovia was developed by Monterey Homes in the mid 2000s. This gated community features homes that range from 3500 to 5500 + square feet. All homes in the community are single level and sit on lots of at least ½ an acre, many over an acre in size. The location of Scottsdale Road &Dixileta offers residents fabulous valley views. Prices start at over $1 million.

Pinnacle Peak Paradise

Development began in the mid 1990s on the gated community of Pinnacle Peak Paradise. Building continued on the custom homes throughout the 2000s with some privately owned vacant land yet to be developed. The average lot size is over 2 acres and many of the lots include horse privileges. Prices vary.
